Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Braves outfielder Chipper Jones left the Braves 10-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Sunday due to a mild strain in his right hamstring.
Jones went 0-for-3 and exited after he batted in the bottom of the sixth inning. During his at-bat in the sixth, he grounded out to the shortstop, but seemed to hobble on his way down the first-base line.
The 31-year-old Jones, one of the elite outfielders in baseball, came into the game batting .421 with a home run and two RBI.
Mike Hessman replaced Jones in left for the duration of the contest.
