Yahoo is reporting a "mild strain of the right hamstring"....I didn't see it, so I can't say for sure, but that doesn't sound too serious.

How severe did it look??

It looked like a slight hamstring pull to me. He didn't pull up hard, he just started limping and grimaced a little. Very similar to what i saw Desi Relaford do against the white sox.

He hadn't got that far up the first base line, so he wasn't even going that fast yet. I doubt this is a serious injury.

Please don't compare it to Desi Relaford's injury....isn't his pretty severe and out for a while? I could be wrong, but that's what I thought.

I was comparing it to Desi because I was pretty sure it was his hamstring. Didn't know that yahoo had already confirmed that.

The difference between the two is that desi was rounding first base at full speed going for a double, and chipper jones was about 10 feet up the first base line.

Desi was expected to be back in 3-5 days until they saw some additional tearing in his hamstring. I seriously doubt Chipper did that much damage to himself.
