16 team league the same owner dropped Edgar and Brad Fullmer after the draft. I got Fullmer but Edgar didnt clear waivers to me.
Dmitri Young was sropped as well, before he got hurt. I couldnt get to him either and traded the guy that got him Jimmy Gobble for him. As a great omen to start the year, Dmitri broke his leg a few hours after the voteing period was done and it processed to me.
"Son we would like to keep you around here but were trying to win a pennant this year."

Mauer for Charles Johnson isnt a bad drop...its a good roster move. Mauer's upside is close to zero whereas Johnson is startable in CO home games.

Maurer's upside is "close to zero?" Unless you are talking about the next month, I think you're off your rocker.

someone in my league dropped Jose Vidro for Aaron Boone! I jumped all over that... even though I have Soriano on that team, Vidro makes for one hell of a bat off the bench...
I don't think dropping Jeter for Kaz is really that dumb... Sure he hasn't proven himself yet... but Jeter's pretty overated, especially in fantasy.
