Hitters I took in the first 8 rounds- Arod, Boone, Wells, Berkman, Giles and Sweeney- are killing me. I know it's early in the season- only week one, but it's still very frustrating when all your top hitters are playing like this at the same time.

The only guys of mine who are doing anything are Nevin, Jenkins, and Griffey- all guys I took after the 9th, and they aren't lighting the world on fire.

I'm still confident, but it'd be nice if I looked at a boxscore and saw one of my top hitters with a HR and a few RBIs.

I've got the "it's only week one, relax" blues

As I write, Nevin gets another hit and is 3-3. If only Giles would stop ending the inning before so Nevin could pick up some RBIs.

Yanno, I feel your pain. My pitchers suck, and my hitters are so so. And then I think, this season is 6 months long...my hitters are gonna hit and my pitchers are gonna produce. Life WILL be good. B-)

I know how you feel. I've got Soriano, Tejada, Wells, Abreu, Berkman, Frank Thomas, and Aramis Ramirez. It's been ugly so far. I can't buy an RBI.

The flip-side is my situation: my team is humming along and I'm anxious it's going to come to a screeching halt any day now. Fantasy baseball is torture, I'm telling you. ;-)

You want frustrating? This is my line for the week so far.

R H HR RBI SB AVG OBP
18 47 2 11 5 .244 .324

With the likes of Thome, Soriano, Giles, Wells, Abreau, Beltran, Eckstein, AJ Przenski (sp?), and Glaus (who I picked up mid week)....this is not even close to what I expected. Wow....I am pretty certain it is the worst line I have had in 4-5 years of fantasy baseball.

But...the silver lining is...my pitching has been superb and with 5 pitchers going today to get me 2-3 wins...I can sweep the pitching categories and with the SB category wrapped up...I have a decent shot at winning this week. Currently behind 7-6....
