Impressive. Please register so we know who to thank when you are on here with anaylsis.
Team bias is big. I'm in a league with an avid K.C. fan. His baseball teams have been horrible over the past few years because he will give his good players away for mediocre Royal bats. On a side not he won our football H-H league in 2002 with a Holmes/T.Green strong finish to that year. I'm still fumeing over that one as he knocked my much better team out of the playoffs.
The biggest is still impatience. This forum is a testament to it hence todays infamous anti-Arod post.
Always buy low and sell high.
Other than that a big newby mistake is rankings as another poster already mentioned. If you dont adjust according to your leagues scoreing format you are probably going to be in a little bit of trouble. Also I have noticed many fantasy ranking websights set their rankings in early January and then dont adjust after injuries and trades. I missed a draft I had intended to attend for the onset of last year 2003's season in a sportsline league. I didnt bother to adjust their very outdated rankings (sometime around January/February they went up) because I thought I'd be there. Well on draft day my cable went out . Time warners fault!!!! So I ended up with my team being picked off their pre-rankings which left me with the injured likes of Eric Milton and Phil Nevin to spend more than the first half on the DL.
