Can somebody make the case for Hampton please....I know he had a very nice 2nd half last season but I'm not convinced he's the guy this year.....help!

I'm an avid Braves fan, but I'm afraid I can't make a case for Hampton. I attended his start the other night, and his pitches looked very much like batting practice. Any pitch that he was able to throw for a strike was really fat.

Also, you've got to remember that he's probably not going to get the run support that he got when he had Sheffield-Lopez-Castilla hitting for him. The Braves offense has been mostly OK so far, but I don't think Braves SP's better count on many timely 3-run HRs to bail them out very often anymore.

And then again, maybe he's just getting off to a slow start. But my feeling about him this year is not a good one.

I'm also a Braves fan, and I have Hampton. He's on a VERY short leash, meaning if he doesn't pitch well his next start he's gone. Lawrence and Eaton are still out there and I'll probably have to pick up one of them if he falters

Glavine is still available in my league. Would you guy dump Hampton for him?

Well, as a Mets fan, I'm ecstatic!! As a Hampton owner (at least until 10 minutes ago) I'm not.

The Mets fan part of me wins out though. :)
