Bob Brenly suspended one game

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Arizona Diamondbacks manager Bob Brenly was suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount on Friday for inappropriate behavior.

Brenly displayed improper conduct towards an umpire after a spring training game versus the Milwaukee Brewers in Maryvale, Arizona on March 29, 2004.

He is expected to serve his suspension on Saturday, April 10, when the Diamondbacks host the St. Louis Cardinals.

Bob Watson, vice president of on-field operations, made the announcement.
