H.Ramirez FOR Wheeler/McGee (WHIR)

Postby BUCCOFAN » Sun Aug 10, 2014 12:39 pm

Deep 15 team league, Fantasy Point Auction League, players have 3 year contracts then become free agents. I have had it, up to here with Hanley the injury ward. :-P

I am currently in 1st place by 88FP (not to good of a cushion) Hanley just hit the DL, Now if I make this move, roughly 2 months left in the season, I would have to roll with Segura/Mercer/Alcantara for my SS and MI slots. Not that bad considering its a 15 team league. Just 2 months left.....AM I GETTING ENOUGH BACK FOR HANLEY?

P - Z.Wheeler $12 (2) (has 1 year left at that salary, doubt I keep him)
P - J.McGee $1 (1) (has 2 more years left at that salary)

SS - H.Ramirez $23 (2) (has 1 year left at that salary, doing me no good now, was going to keep him for 2015, BUT I need help to win now)
3B - W.Middlebrooks $15 (1) (has 2 years left at that salary, dead weight on my roster, trying to move him anyways)

I am doing this deal to win NOW, thats what this is all about. We start 9 pitchers weekly, I have already made the following trades last few weeks in getting Lester and Darvish, but on the flip side I lost Anibal Sanchez to the DL today, and can't rely on AJ Burnett and De La Rosa any longer.

MY STARTING 9 after the deal
Price $30 (1)
Darvish $21 (3) (free agent at end of the year)
Lester $22 (1)
Zimmermann $24 (2)
Wheeler $12 (2)
Worley $1 (1) (has been a nice find)
Doolittle $5 (1)
Melancon $1 (1)
McGee $1 (1)

Burnett $3 (3)
De La Rosa $4 (1)
Giles $1 (1)

Sanchez $18 (2)
Erlin $2 (1)

No way. Chill out. When you drafted Hanley you knew he was an injury prone player. He is supposedly out only 2 weeks (if one can believe Mattingly). Those other SSs are scrubs in comparison and Mcgee and Wheeler are no where near enough of a return.

Frustrating as Hanley is, you should keep him especially for what you're getting in return.

It's kinda like the Old Cafe - http://fbc2.freeforums.net
