Is he done for the year?
If not, is he worth taking and stashing on a roster?
I'm in a 10 team Yahoo league, standard 5x5 H2H, with a 25 man roster.
I'm at the 24th round and I'm fishing for players now. If Hoffman is possible for mid-season, is it worthwhile to pick him up?

I have him stashed. (that being said you shouldn't do it just because of that). I've heard he will be gone till May. I'm hoping worse case scenerio...June.

In a shallow league you can probably get someone decent. In a deep league with 10 or more teams, it will probably pay off to draft Hoffman, put him on the DL when the season starts, and grab another guy.

I took Hoffman very late and have him parked on my DL until his return. If he comes back after the all star break and returns to form, it'll be the best pick of my draft. If not, it's just another late pick bust!
You may remember him as Joe the Policeman from the "What's Goin' Down?" episode of That's My Momma! Please welcome, Jackson Heights' own, Mr. Randy Watson! Sexual Chocolate!!!

In an auction league I would hold on to $2-3 until the very end. Wait until nobody else has a pitcher spot open, then bid $1 for him. This is especially good in a keeper league. A $1 Hoffman next year! This is my plan at least.
From the official rulebook of baseball: "Baseball is a game played between two teams of nine players each." Therefore, baseball is a game played only in the National League.
