that sounds like too much for 10 pitching spots bro....
assuming that a SP throws 200 amd a RP 70, 1800 IP would allow a team to have 8 starters and only 2 RP and easily get away with it
(8 * 200) + (2 *70) = 1740.
if someone wants to take the time, he could also fit in 9 SP and 1 RP (i dont know if anyone wud wanna do that tho....)

IMHO something like 1450 would be more appropriate cos in most cases it would allow for a max of 6 SP and 4 RP or 7 RP and 3 RP (thats also only if someone was willing to check up every day and make the changes)

btw- only change the settings only if all or most of the most guys in your league agree ;-)
