I'm a bit surprised, but I'm out to an early lead in my roto league. My lineup has been very hot, but I don't expect it to continue. I'm pretty excited about picking up Paxton, I think he's going to be a great addition to my already young rotation (and hopefully improve my Ks and K/9). I'm thinking if there are two areas that I'm lacking in, it is OF (particuarly speed but that is tough to address) and RP.

It's a 14 team, ESPN roto league. Categories are: Bat: Avg, R, SB, OBP, HR, RBI, SLG. Pitch: ERA, WHIP, SV, K/9, K, W, QS.

******UPDATE: I like the suggestion I got for selling high on Trumbo and I'm thinking maybe I could push Seager off onto the guy in our league that has Brett Lawrie. What do you guys think about this offer?

I send:
Mark Trumbo
Kyle Seager

I receive:
Giancarlo Stanton

or as suggested, I could deal with the guy with Jones and try and do Trumbo and Seager for Jones and someone else. What trade is my best option or should I just stay pat (My lineup looks really good now but I worry about when Trumbo starts to fall off on average)

Would it be a decent offer (at least a starting point) for me to send over the following: (both of our teams are below, he needs help at 3B, I need OF help)

I send:

Kyle Seager
Michael Cuddyer (or should I start out low-balling and offering Reddick or Markakis or another bench OF?)

I receive:

[b]Adam Jones

Is this an insulting offer? Am I giving up too much and sleeping on Cuddyer, thinking he can't repeat last year's success? What do you think??

I'd probably use Cuddyer at 1b you need him more there. I would deal Smoak + Owings for his A-Goz and then you'd have a more proven and steady 1b and move Cuddyer to your OF. With the free spot you could have a spot to stream starters since your SP depth is lacking.

I would try it, wouldn't be an unfair deal to offer, but definitely more in your favor to get Adam Jones.

It's not a bad offer but most likely won't get accepted. But, it might be a good starting point. Jones is worth more than what you are offering and is much better than Cuddyer or Seager or the combo of both.

please help

If I'm the Adam Jones owner I wouldn't even consider this offer, and I like Cuddyer. If you can do this deal then great, but you will likely have to give Cuddyer and someone better than Seager. And that's IF this guy like Cuddyer. If you want him to accept then I would sell high on Trumbo right now to go with Seager and then ask for a low end 2nd player from him with decent upside.

Trumbo has been great, but for the rest of the season for me its Jones>>>>>>>Trumbo.
