H2H vs. Roto

H2H vs. Roto

Postby journey4ce » Wed Mar 26, 2014 11:08 am

Hey guys, I have been in a H2H league before, but it has been a while. I consider myself very knowledgeable about Roto leagues. I was pulled back into the H2H league and it is scored roto style (not points). i am just curious as to what are the major things that make a player more desirable in H2H. Also, if you have any specific players who are ranked significantly higher or lower in H2H, I would appreciate knowing those..

Thanks for the help

I tend to value power hitters higher in H2H than in roto. So, I would give EE the edge over Ellsbury and Trumbo over Hosmer. I'm more inclined to drop pitchers a spot or two, unless it's a points league that favors pitching.

Other than that, I don't think the H2H strategy differs too greatly from roto. It's still important to get hitters who get on base often enough to score runs and to get pitchers who post good K rates and ratios.
