Why don't they put Pujols on with men on 2nd/3rd 2 out?

2 out...men on 2nd and 3rd. Pujols is up. Why don't they give him the free pass and face Rolen? Rolen's a good ballplayer, but I'd rather face him than Albert.

And guess what? Just as I'm typing this...he homers.

Sure it sounds like a good idea but then you have to face Rolen, Edmonds, and Renteria, with the bases loaded. Imagine if they put Pujols on and then the next 3 guys did some serious damage. People would be saying "how can you load the bases with thsoe guys coming up?!?!".

Hindsight is 20/20. Pitching around Pujols, but not intentionally walking him, is a good plan IMO. But apparently whatever they did didn't work.

I think I had a little gut feeling when Pujols came up. I'm facing him in a H2H league (and Rolen) and had a bad vibe. :,-( Homer was on an 0-2 count, too. It's hard to believe that an 0-2 pitch would be hittable, especially for a homer.

Oh boy...homer Spivey. He's on the other team, too. And there goes my Kolb save unless STL catches up. :-t

To make sure its close enough to ensure that Kolb gets me a save?

Never mind....Ginter and Clark keep trying to put it out of reach

They were up 7 to 1. Do you really want to intentionally walk someone when you are up 7 to 1?
