12-team H2H Points - Kershaw 3rd Overall WHIR 100%

Postby aqr135 » Thu Mar 20, 2014 8:36 am

Hey all, would love some feedback on the team I just drafted. As I said, 12-team H2H points league, so I emphasized strikeouts, saves, and home runs, but I'm worried about strikeouts. Also took a fair amount of chances on high-upside young guys. Scherzer and Craig were keepers. Limit of 8 SPs. Scoring settings below. WHIR 100%

Roster:
C - Wilin Rosario
1B - Mark Trumbo
2B - Brian Dozier
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
SS - Hanley Ramirez
OF - Wil Myers
OF - Curtis Granderson
OF - Domonic Brown
UTIL - Allen Craig
BN - Adam Lind
BN - David Freese

SP - Clayton Kershaw
SP - Max Scherzer
SP - Gerrit Cole
SP - Danny Salazar
SP - Chris Archer
SP - Michael Pineda
SP - Kyle Lohse
SP - A.J. Griffin (will move to DL)
RP - Trevor Rosenthal
RP - Casey Janssen
RP - John Axford

The pitching looks legit . IMO its gonna be your strongest area. You were able to mix in 2 nice solid aces (kershaw, max) with some nice high upside pitchers. I don't think Ks will be an issue. RP looks good to just be ready to drop Axford if he falters.

Hitting's gotta a nice mix of power & speed. But a lot of guys there that will prob slot cleanup or lower, which will be good for RBI totals, but maybe not so much R totals. also not sure you got a 30+ homer guy with the expection of maybe trumbo?
Zimmerman can be a bit of a headache though. but at least hanley can slot in at 3b when zimm falls off a cliff and even freese can do so too. dozier not sure he's legit but 2b is a tough spot to fill this season anyways. love the trumbo, myers and not many people seem to be sold on brown but i like him too, im high on those guys this year.
