This seems like the best place to ask. I'm in a Yahoo H2H points league, and we're trying to fine-tune our scoring system. We want intentional walks to have no net impact on scoring for the pitcher, since it's a strategy call, not a lack of skill. The question raised is whether an IBB will also count as a regular BB, i.e. if a pitcher throws an intentional walk, will he be charged with just an IBB, or will he be charged with both an IBB and a BB? We currently have -1 pt for BBs, so if he would be charged with both, we would need to score +1 pt for IBBs to offset that. But if he would only be charged with the IBB and not with a BB, then we would need to leave IBB at zero (i.e. not use it). Does anybody with Yahoo experience know how they handle IBBs?
