First Draft of the year! How'd I do? WHIR

Postby DbacksRback » Tue Mar 18, 2014 11:12 am

I went very heavy on hitters based off value I was getting (pitchers went way too early). I really don't see a weakness in my hitting. Good power/speed combos.

Head2Head 5 category.

12 teams:

C- S. Perez
1b- Goldy
2b- Kipnis
SS- E.Cabrera
3b- Wright
OF-Bruce
OF-Holliday
OF-Pence
Util- Jennings

SP- Hamels
Sp- Bailey
SP- Wacha
Rp- Street
Rp- Benoit
p- Farquhar
p- Cingrani
p- Nova
b- Peavy
b- Estrada
b- Phelps
b- Erik Johnson
b- C. Martinez (Stl)

Thanks for the help on mine!

It's basically what you said.... Heavy hitters, and mediocre pitchers. They aren't terrible and you can always stream pitchers, or trade one of your heavy bats.

I think you did okay..

Good hitters bad pitchers. Well not totally bad but could get really ugly. You need to hope Hamels will be okay this year. For Wacha and Cingrani to play lights out. Counting on Bailey is dangerous. Hope you are ready for a month or two of ERA over 6 for that one gem.

Like others have said, you have a very good lineup and decent rotation. I think you made the right move in stacking your lineup over your rotation, especially if you felt like pitchers were going off the board much earlier than you expected them to. I think you should be competitive due to your lineup, but you should keep your eyes open and see if you can deal one of your bats for another SP at some point this season.
