Puig FOR Braun (WHIR)

Postby BUCCOFAN » Mon Mar 17, 2014 1:42 pm

in a deep roster ESPN dynasty style keeper league, H2H Fantasy points league....League really benefits STUD pitchers, lots of fantasy points go out there, too many in my books but it is what it is.

I am REALLY deep in my "OF" being a dynasty style league where we protect 20 players yearly, I have accumulated some studs along the way, and was thinking of moving an "OF" for pitching help, not that my pitching is bad, just want one more stud in there....or upgrade. Hopefully my kids blossom to a stud, (Bradley/Walker/Martinez/Gaussman)

Was offered the following,
I GET:
LF - R.Braun (will get RF eligibility this season, so replaces Puig for me)
SP - J.Lackey (was hoping for someone better then him)

I TRADE AWAY:
RF - Y.Puig
SP - A.Bradley (didn't think he would see the show this season, but now with Corbin injury maybe the D-Backs rush him)

OTHER PITCHING OPTIONS HE HAS:
SP - J.Samardzija SP - E.Santana SP - CJ.Wilson SP - J.Weaver SP - J.Parker SP - H.Ryu SP - J.Lackey

Should I just stand pat? or is getting Braun worth my while here.

I would prefer to have Puig. I'm not the biggest Lackey fan so keeping a top prospect while keeping the OF I would prefer would stop me from this trade.

Solid team but you will need another bat b/c of Machado's injury, just DL him and grab a placeholder...maybe Asche, Dietrich or Mcgahee. keep puig + bradley.

In a deep dynasty it depends on how close you are in my opinion...

If you are poised to finish near the top I say pull the trigger, in fact, its a no brainer...

if not (im currently in one where im rebuilding) I give the nod to the other direction...braun is a huge talent without the juice, but even in a best case scenario he has 3 years before he begins to regress...worst case is he begins to level off this season...

Nothing about that trade appeals to me, would much rather have Puig. Braun well stay away from him, keep Puig all the way

Yea I wouldn't trade away Puig in this situation and having to get rid of Bradley for me would be the deal-breaker. Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=468217
