More Draft Assistance Please

Ok guys, here's the deal: I am in a 5 x5 Roto Keeper League with a salary cap of $290. We use values from USA TODAY'S SPORTS WEEKLY, and A-Rod, Big Unit, Schilling, Pujols, and Soriano are some of the first round names selected as keeper picks. I recently made a trade for A-Rod and I have the number 3 pick. The first pick is going to most likely be Roy Oswalt (don't ask me why) and Vlad may fall to me. He is $7, and with my three keepers (A-Rod, Derek Lowe and Casey Fossum) total $53. Do I take Vlad, or do I go a different route?

I wouldn't have kept Casey Fossum or Derek Lowe, though you could post up the prices on those guys. On to your topic, I would take Vlad at that price given your salary cap. Go for it.

Derek Lowe went $23 this year. I have A-Rod at $47 now don't forget. My cap is $290, and if I take Vlad, I have four players at $100.

I don't think I could pass up on the chance to have ARod and Vlad on the same team. Wow, now that is an impressive combo! And they are both great keepers for next year. I think you have to take Vlad....
