Who should I target first?*****UPDATE

Postby plamb23 » Wed Mar 12, 2014 11:16 am

Draft this Friday, check my roster and help me order my targets. I know who I want, just keep going back and forth on who to I need to not pass up---

12 team 5x5 roto; I have 9th, 13th, 23rd, 35th , continue every 12th pick

C Rosario
1B Votto
2B Profar
SS Castro
3B Beltre
MI
CI Machado
OF Trout
OF Cutch
OF B Hamilton
OF
UT
UT
SP King Felix
SP Price
SP
SP
SP
SP
RP Kimbrel
RP Jensen
RP
RP

Top Targets: (I believe all these will be available at my first pick)

Wilson Ramos (don't need a C, but he is looking like a beast if healthy)
Evan Gattis
Brad Miller
Asdrubal Cabrera
Khris Davis
Kole Calhoun
Will Middlebrooks
Chris Carter
Nick Castellanos
Andrew Cashner (I want him on my team)
Alex Wood
John Lester
Jeff Weaver

I know I can get the arms that I want late, but I cannot decide who I need to get in the first 3 picks to ensure I get the most production possible. My first instinct is to go with the power possibilities--these listed worth risk?

Posted this a day ago and since have been offered---
Chris Archer for my 9th pick

Would you rather have Archer than any of the above available (Cashner, Ramos, Davis, Calhoun, or Miller) seemed to be the best options

That's tough. If you deem certain positions more valuable, then helping would be easier. With Miller and Cabrera available, I think one of those names stand out since you are currently dealing with Castro at SS.

On that list I would go with Cashner first. Think he will be solid this year. Like Middlebrooks,Kris Davis, and Ramos power potential. Others to maybe think about are Brian Dozier at 2B, Avisail Garcia OF if they are available. Good Luck

I think if you could possibly get 3 of Ramos, Cashner, Weaver, and Miller you would be golden. I would eye up Ramos or Cashner with your first pick though.

Thanks for your help with mine.

Here's the way I look at:

Gattis OF and C eligibility
Weaver
Calhoun
Cashner
Davis

I like Ramos as well but would go in the order I have here.

I like Khris Davis (since you start so many OF), Brad Miller, and Andrew Cashner (over Jered) in a keeper.

Cashner looks like the best of your options, followed by Miller, Gattis, Weaver, Lester, and Calhoun.
