He's not neccesarily healthy. He had pretty bad fingernail problems in ST. That's why everybody is worried about him. We know that when healthy, he's one of the best in the game. I don't think anybody denied that.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Glad he looked good, hope he stays that way. I dealt Brett Myers for him at my draft because I had no closers. I was wondering how he got the save in a 9-5 game....
I have been trying to own both Mantei and Valverde in holds/non-holds leagues. Of course, I sat Mantei this week thinking he wasn't ready, doh! And here he is with his 100 mph K's.
Question: Hold onto Valverde in case Mantei has trouble? Or free up a roster spot? With Mantei's injury history I figure Valverde might make one of the best RP backups out there.

Go Mantei!
I guess it depends on your league. In my NL only im holding onto both as I see a DL stint or a trade in the future for Mantei and my league is a keeper too. Plus we get credit for holds, which Valverde should get regardless.
Hopefully Mantei is now past the fingernail problems and ready to continue the great pitching.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Definitely keeping both in my mixed holds leagues.
Maybe even in my non-holds leagues.
Hey Afro, you just want to kick yourself, huh? I benched Damon yesterday and of course he went 5-5 with a stolen base, 2 runs and 2 rbi's. It just figures...not that I'm mad with Dye's 2nd HR.
