Trade Teheran for Salazar?

Postby jbird669 » Sun Feb 23, 2014 12:36 pm

In my 5x5 Roto keeper league, I have a chance to acquire Danny Salazar ($4). But it will cost me Teheran ($7). They are kind of a wash IMO but Teheran plays in NL East as opposed to AL Central. Do I make the trade?

My keepers:

C Rosario $10
1B Encarnacion $4
2B Gyorko $4
OF J Upton $37
P Jim Johnson $11
P Perkins $4
P Lee $17
P Porcello $3
P Teheran $7
P Parnell $8 or Melancon $3 (haven't decided)

I think it is a coin flip. Both have question marks and either one could take a step forward or a step backwards. I would probably lean towards Teheran because of where he plays and the team plus he has been a much more heralded prospect. But again, it could easily go either way here.

I would throw Porcello back and keep something else (what else have you got for 8 or less in bats or other arms?) I would probably go with Parnell at least he's a closer not a fledgling MRP that are a dime a dozen. Take Salazar and the three cheaper bucks...both are young and plenty of upside, though I think Salazar's upside is a tick higher.

My apologies, I mixed Parnell and P orcello and their salaries. Porcello is $3 and Parnell is $8.

I don't see a move that you need or should make and Porcello @3 is just fine.
