Rate my keepers?

Postby KSChris » Sat Feb 22, 2014 5:47 pm

Entering Year 6 in a 16 team keeper league.

H2H, 10 keepers per team, and a $265 budget.

I've got the following currently listed as my keeper group:

C - Wilin Rosario, $5
1B - Mike Napoli, $25
2B - Jurickson Profar, $5
3B - Ryan Zimmerman, $10
OF - Bryce Harper, $9
OF - Jose Bautista, $5
OF - Allen Craig, $11
UT - David Ortiz, $6
SP - Patrick Corbin, $3
SP - Matt Harvey, $7

$86 total on the keepers, $179 budget at the draft.

I've got most of my offense locked up. Will probably try to grab a better 2B if I can, and an SS, in addition to some depth. But for the most part, good to go on the offense with some serious cash to be able to build a quality pitching staff.

Thoughts?

I would look to trying to grab a front of the lineup type player. A lead off hitter or a guy in the 2 hole. Other than that it's pretty solid and your focus def should be on starting pitchers.

Without C elig, $25 for Napoli seems high even in a 16 team league. I would consider spending the money elsewhere. And $7 for Harvey who will not play at all in 2014, will be coming off TJ surgery in 2015 and will burn one of your DL slots all season seems like a waste imo. Trade these guys for someone else if you can. The others are decent value though Profar is far from a sure thing.

Yes besides Napoli, who could you keep in his stead (upside and cheap?) - preferably in your arms.
