You don't keep Lester because you wouldn't draft Lester with a 7th round pick or above. Plus he's already loaded at SP. He could easily redraft Lester in the 11th round or so.

I agree with keeping 6 and taking that pick at the front. Go offense heavy and good luck!

Look at his splits, he had a rough start and then turned right back into the absolute stud ace he has always been. Carlos's bat plays great at catcher, but he is not going to catch, and at 3B he is average more or less. Gomes is here to stay and thus this is Lester no brainer. Wins, WHIP, Ks, innings, ERA, the guy has absolutely everything....

Lester was terrible in 2012...had a subpar 2013 by standard mixed league standards and is a round 15+ pick in mixed leagues. He has not had a really good year since 2010. Anyone that thinks a 3.8 ERA and 1.3 WHIP is good these days is living in the late 1990's or is playing in a really deep league. These days there is NO way Lester is even in the same keeper world as Carlos Santana at whatever position he ends up playing. Any player can bounce back, but if 3.8/1.3 is the best Lester can do these days, then he is nothing more than a Fantasy 5\6 SP in mixed leagues and not worthy of any keeper consideration.

Did someone mention in this thread Santana will prob have 3B eligibility this year? You're crazy if you keep Lester over Santana.

If you have a guy with his numbers on C/1B/3B then I wouldn't call that average.

For the sake of putting this argument to an end...I, as the topic starter, am keeping neither. I didn't realize I could keep less than 7, so I am keeping 6.
