CBS/Y/ESPN.....and the winner is?

Postby kingmike74 » Fri Feb 14, 2014 8:46 am

I have done CBS for 6 years and been fairly happy but man, paying the $150 is getting old

Any reason to switch to Y or ESPN

Drawbacks/Advantages?

really depends on what rules your league uses and if the other sites can handle those needs. As commish I like the options cbs has and I'd hate to save a couple bucks a month and not have the league run like they always have

Been awhile since I played on cbs. What exactly can it do that the other sites can't?

CBS has the option to use salaries and contract years. ESPN does not have this. That is about the only difference. If you don't need salaries and contract years, ESPN can do just as good.

cbs has MLB radio broadcasts from every game. (both teams' broadcasts). Mostly, I still use it because i've been doing it for 12 years and hate the idea of losing all that history. They work well with doing any spreadsheet stuff. idk if others do as well.

fixed the mod edit to make sense. Also, there's codes out there for 1/2 off. you'll have to google for them, as I'm not allowed to post mine here.

We have used CBS for a lot of years, and tried to switch a couple of times to save a few bucks. Both times everyone hated the new sites and we ended up going back to CBS. One league I was in used Rotowire and I didn't really care for their set up. Of the sites I have used or explored, CBS is just hands down the best.

I have never used ESPN, but have used Yahoo. IMHO, Yahoo sucks, I have only used it because the guy running a low dollar fun league I am in uses it.

I get a multiple league discount because I have three baseball and four football league through them, so they give me a $99 per league price. I don't know if you might qualify for something like that, but it can't hurt to check with them.

At the right price CBS is best.
