He's been more consistent in the power department but to say he has more power is arguable. Upton is Gary Sheffield-esque in his bat speed and power potential. Bruce is fine...I just find it hard to get excited about him...he's in the same tier as Upton and a dozen others but I've never owned him and probably never will as there are always people that like him more than I do.

To answer your question, I like Upton a smidge more than Bruce.

Would've definitely considered Bruce but likely would have still went with J-Up

Man... I had a terrible time picking at the not only 1 player but 2 at the turn.

Freeman/Stanton is a good turn. Man, I wish I had a later pick this year...

Can't say I'm upset with Freeman/Stanton but I feel Freeman shouldn't go quite that high, but I just trust 1B to anyone left. And I'm not sure how to feel with Stanton so he wasn't a target of mine, but he was best available.

I think I had like 6 guys I wanted on that pick. Went with a guy that I didn't think I'd own this year, generally people like him more than I do, figured I'd give him a shot here.

Same here. I went with Stras for the win upside. This is also a new league structure and roster format for me, and with my next pick coming 15 selections from now, I didn't want to end up without an elite arm. Hope he stays healthy! :-o

I'm with you guys. I woke up this morning, saw it was my turn, and for 90 minutes bounced around 4 potential hitters and a pitcher. I would decide on the hitter because I don't like drafting pitchers early, and then I exclaim, "blah" at potentially owning the guy, so I would default back to the pitcher. Then I'm ready to draft the pitcher, and then exclaim, "blah", I can't own a pitcher in the first 3 rounds. Then I'm back at square one. What a crop of hitters to sift through this year! :-P

Edit: I was hoping kipnis or rios would fall back this way. That would have made things easier.

I was hoping Stras would fall to me. I like Verlander to come back strong this year.

Agreed. The only thing that could hold Verlander back this year would be Kate Upton draining all his strength.
