Draft chatter

Postby kab21 » Sun Feb 09, 2014 9:24 am

Not sure what I think about picking at the end of the first rd but whatever.

As a general warning I'm a part time insomniac that lives on the other side of the world so I don't think I will hold up the draft too much. I will try to PM a pick to someone else but it's a little hard to include a list for two picks since I'm near the turn.

Just as a common courtesy for those that haven't done slow drafts here before - please try to leave a couple of names with someone at the other end of the draft if you are going to be away from the computer and your turn is coming up. It happens from time to time but don't be the guy that continually uses the entire clock to make a pick.

Good luck to everyone.

If everyone can shoot me a quick PM with your email address I will send out league invites for the Yahoo league. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to setup a password for the league or even search for League ID's anymore so I'll just send invitations.

Thanks!

And to continue on with what kab21 mentioned...please PM the the next guy after you make a pick...I made it easy for you to do that as I have everyone's name hyperlinked to their PM page. Also, don't mention player names that haven't been drafted yet.

And as always let try to make each pick as follows...

#2 pick, not bad. My decision will likely be made for me

Meh, I actually prefer the bottom of the order instead of the top. #1... I guess I can handle that.

After looking at some rankings I like what is available at the turn (hopefully). I think I say that every year though... It's better than drafting in the middle though at least for the first couple of picks. Drafting at the turn presents other challenges.

I'm normally ok with the middle, but this year I think that is the last place I wanted to draft. So I can handle #1.

Draft chatter

Postby RedBullVodka » Mon Feb 10, 2014 3:25 am

Sorry guys - wasn't sure when we were starting and had disappeared off to bed (I'm English).

Will try to leave picks when / where possible to keep it moving.

Just as a heads up, I'm away for around 24-36 hours for work abroad Tues and Weds and not sure on internet access during that time. I'll see how the draft progresses before then to see if I need to leave picks.

Not sure what to think about pick 3. The top 2 are clear, but could consider a number of guys at 3. Took Goldy as a pretty safe floor hopefully, but could easily have gone a different way...

So my question is....if trout is as good as they say he is, does this mean that the the guy who just drafted him forefits his next round??????....lol...lol... :-b :-b
