My short lists have now become long lists because of that. Nature of the beast this late in the game.

Draft Chatter

Correct me if I am wrong, and I am too lazy to look it up, but did we start this draft earlier than normal? Or have we been breezing thru it? I kinda remember there being a bigger sample size of spring training before nearing completion.

Estrada was my next pick, had him all locked in until I saw the Dirks news. I drafted him last year in Noobs and have always liked his peripherals.

My 23rd round pick's been gone since you took Porcello. }:-)

This is the reach-rounds part of the draft, if you're thinking about jumping on someone now's the time to grab him. I'm pretty sure Gordon would have lasted but who knows. He's an easy drop if he doesn't start.

Actually, I'm not that down on my team. Just need a good start.

I don't see Dee starting regularly but I think he can be a useful utility player. Every Dodger OF but Puig will need a rest day here and there and Gordon can cover ground fast in OF. Guerrero won't run away with the 2B job immediately, unless he adjusts very quickly.

If that added strength helps and if he can trade pop ups for hard grounders and liners, Dee could be serviceable.

Puig's already playing dinged up, if he ends up missing a few games here and there I can see Gordon getting some starts and batting leadoff. Hoping he takes the opportunity and runs with it.
