This really is a great group of Café vets in this league, I love it.

It's hard to believe Pogo, Ironman, and myself joined within a month of each other over 11 years ago.

I sent him a pm a long time ago.

Gotta say that this is cool. Feels like old times. Drafting with pogo, wrveres, Chris and a bunch of real vets. Wish we could get a few more like Madison, Kent, Ken, Hort to show up.
We should get an old timers league going. Only guys who have been ten + yrs at the cafe.

Wow - hadn't realised it until you mentioned it, but it's my 10th anniversary next month! Seem to remember that one of the first questions I asked here was "What does 5x5 mean?" :-D

Rookies hasn't read the PM I sent him telling him it was his turn. Hopefully he will be around this weekend, if not today.

I remember when Madison joined, he literally responded to every single post within minutes for the longest time. He had the most posts of anyone all-time in about 2 months. I'm so shocked he became an Admin.... :-D

Wow, I can't believe it's been 11 years since I joined here. I take pride in my low profile number. I believe I'm 343.

I'd be interested in hearing where everyone is from.

Atlanta, Georgia for me.

What's more devastating for Atlanta, zombies or snow?

Zombies we can handle.

Snow turns the whole city into the walking dead.

HAHAHA! Wow. Those roads look like a regular commute for me this winter. I drive 30 miles to work in SW Wisconsin.

Yes, the difference is that in Wisconsin, they have snow plows and people have tire chains.

We have very little of either here.

The funny thing is that everyone says that Atlanta drivers don't know how to drive in the snow. There is a bit of truth to that, but the reality is that Atlanta is a very transient city, and a very large portion of our population is from the north. Very few people who live in Atlanta have lived here all their lives, or even for a long time.

It is not that people don't know how to drive in the snow, it is that the city does not have the capability of properly treating the roads or the experience of dealing with major winter weather like cities in cold climates do.

On the other hand, Atlanta can handle the heat much better than those other cities. For example, I recall a few years ago in Chicago, when temps starting reaching into the 100's, people started dying all over the city. That doesn't happen here.
