There's an issue with yahoo handling 40 man rosters.

Max roster sizes are 30 on yahoo which will cause an issue with handling bench players.

Potential solution :

Go through entire draft and then each manager must make 10 cuts to bring roster sizes down to 30.

This gives you time to adjust strategy and field a complete roster. Roster cuts will need to be finalized one week after the draft.

We thought of the possibility of hosting on an alternate site, such as espn, which may accommodate 40 man rosters however position eligibility rules are most likely different and is potentially a bigger impact on the league .

Please discuss and make a final vote following the example below:

Final vote: use potential solution

We obviously vote for sticking with the 40 man roster even if we have to go through espn or another site. I haven't even browsed yahoo one single time since joining this league, so it has no effect on me.

Final vote: Find an alternative site and stick to the 40-man rosters

Might be the best option.. In my eyes even though some are affected, such as Lawrie, theres still time to switch up some strategy position wise which should be easier than cutting the rosters down by 10.

1. Go with a 30 man roster through yahoo

Part of the reason I joined the league is because we were using Yahoo. Most the other sites are far inferior to Yahoo.

I'm fine with Yahoo and 30 players, i'm fine with ESPN and 40 players.

As soon as we switch to CBS, Fantrax or some other site, i will drop out.

I would prefer we stayed with Yahoo, the position eligibility rules are much better and there formatting is better.

I don't really care one way or the other. I'd prefer yahoo, but don't really care. THere are issues. I've drafted my roster with the intent of having a deep bench. If we drop to 30 man rosters, I would have drafted differently. Either way I would like to draft the full 40 man roster then have each team waive 10 players to get to the 30 number. I have guys on my draft list I'd rather have over guys I've currently drafted. So I'd like to swap them out.

i don't know how we don't stick with the 40 man rosters and find another site to use. i'm sure i'm not the only team that drafted with the idea that there would be deep benches. would i have taken a guy like jorge soler, who most probably won't play at all this year, as early as i did if i knew i only had a few bench spots? probably not? would have definitely affected the way i drafted. and for me to waive him now, after spending a fairly high pick on him is a complete waste of the high pick.
i don't have a problem with using espn. position eligibility seems like a much smaller issue compared to making the rosters smaller.

final vote: stick with the 40 man rosters and find another site to use.
