Just took over this team, they finished 5/20 last season. Looking for ways to improve. Seems like pitching mostly. Would love thoughts and opinions. Also I have to cut the roster down to 30.

How many teams are in the league?

There are some good elements but I can see why it went 5-20 last season. Garza and Cueto injuries hurt. Why they had 3 Reds SP's (in a hitters ball park) is beyond me. The bench hitting depth also leaves something to be desired.

Improvements needed at catcher position. Other than that the infield is pretty strong. Hunter and Soriano are long in the tooth but still effective. I'd look at injecting some youth into that OF. Dump Swisher he's garbage. As is Kyle Kendrick. The minors roster isn't very good. Not one made the top 30 2013 prospects list (Hedges was 34). Crick is an above average talent and I like Nolin (being a Blue Jay fan) but the others don't really impress me to be honest. That needs work.

Good luck this looks like a 2-3 season rebuild in the making.

I worded it funny, the team came in 5th out of 20 teams.
But I appreciate the input. There are a few good morning leaguers and Yh catching is the week spot with old outfield, good point. The previous owner apparntly had a hard on for Cincy, have a few minor leaguers for Cincy as well lol.

Appreciate the input!

Oh ok. For a 20 team league yes its not bad then, especially the IF. Work on that minors roster though, there are some ageing veterans - Hunter, Soriano, Ortiz, Lackey....
