Better Contract for Panda or Lowrie?

Postby Goatrider » Sat Dec 14, 2013 12:10 am

30 team, Dynasty contract league. 135 M salary cap. One guy gets his real-life contract, the other goes through Restricted Free Agency (whose contract I projected).

Which would you rather have?

Panda - 1 yr/8.25 and Lowrie - 3/27

or

Lowrie - 1 yr/4.8 and Panda - 3/33

The guy who gets the 1-yr contract will get his Real Life free agent contract next year.

WHIR for sure with a link!

Seem like he second one is the best for you. Save 4 million between the one year deals and only gain 6 million over a 3 year period.

I would do what the best initial savings and solid savings in the near term. So I like saving 4m for this year's team and 6 over the next two. That basically means an extra player or an extra stud that you could trade for or just some wiggle room just in case of breakouts.

Thanks guys. I took your advice. I also started to think of Panda's real life free agent price next year, which will probably dwarf the restricted fantasy FA he goes through this year. Definitely went with the consensus.
