So Many trades

Postby CubanMissles » Thu Dec 12, 2013 2:52 pm

Alright, I'm sure yall are getting sick of seeing my posts about trades, and you probably are wondering why I don't just make one and get over it haha. Well I've got a few more offers coming in so here we go

-Goldschmidt for Trumbo and Cespedes ...definitely a no in my book but might offer Lester and Jennings for Cespedes or Trumbo

-JUpton and Moustakas for Machado and THunter ...Leaves a hole in RF that Hunter could fill, or I could try trade RZimmerman for a RF

-JZimmermann and Jennings/Jackson for Choo and Garza

Again, I'll post my roster, let me know where you think I need to make moves, and who makes sense to move!

Thanks!

Here is my roster...
C- Wilin Rosario
1B- Paul Goldschmidt
2B- Jason Kipnis
3B- Ryan Zimmerman
SS- Hanley Ramirez
LF- Starling Marte
CF- Austin Jackson
RF- Justin Upton
DH- Billy Butler

BN- Moustakas
BN- Franklin
BN- Jennings
BN- Taveras

SP- Mat Latos
SP- Homer Bailey
SP- Jordan Zimmermann
SP- Jon Lester
SP- Ervin Santana
RP- Aroldis Chapman
BN- Kuroda
BN- Lincecum
BN- Niese
BN- T. Wood
BN- Miley

No on the Goldschmidt deal. I am not sure I would even do the Lester and Jennings deal. Just not sure what you gain. Cespedes gives you a little more power but that is really it. Jennings gives you more speed, some power and slightly better BA. Then there is the upside of who Lester is.

Upton for Machado is fine. Really depends on who you want to take a chance with.

First Zimmerman deal is fine especially if you do the Machado deal. I think I would prefer you looking to get a younger hitter than Choo but I don't have a major problem with the deal you presented.

I think I would pass on the second Zimmerman deal. Not a fan of Trumbo. Already said what I think about Cespedes and Jennings and would not want Middlebrooks at all.

I offered RZimm and Jennings for Cespedes and Trumbo...might do butler instead of zimmerman.

My league is a HR league, where they score the highest, and i think cespedes and trumbo give me a better edge there than jennings and zimmerman. I doubt he accepts though, ppl seem to value their own guys alot more

That does changes things. I was thinking it was a 5x5 league.

Honestly I see no poitn to making any of these trades as they are lateral moves. You don't need Machado with Zimm already in tow. I would use Butler+Jennings to try and upgrade my DH slot.
