Keeper Time of Year 6 w/ Draft penalties

Postby biffy44 » Sun Dec 08, 2013 5:29 pm

Always look forward to this time of year. MLB has hooked me rather soon this year with all of the action before the winter meetings. As always your feedback is greatly appreciated.
12 Team H2H Avg,OBA,R,RBI,HR,SB and W,ERA,Sv,WHIP,IPperStart, K/9
Standard Rosters with MI, CI, 5OF, UT. Keep 6 With Draft Penalties
Can keep 2 in same round( keep 2 round 12's, lose 12 & 13)
Choosing Keepers from this narrowed down list:

Longoria @ Rd 4
Cliff Lee @ RD 8
Anibal Sanchez @ RD 11
Homer Bailey @ RD 12
Jarrod Parker @ RD 12
Hosmer @ RD 13
Carlos Santana @ RD 15
Rizzo @ RD 20
Trout @ RD 20
Profar @ RD 25
Cole @ 25

Minors are free keepers and I have: Kris Bryant, Maikel Franco, Xander Bogaerts, Francisco Lindor, Joc Pedersen, Oscar Taveras, Jon Gray, Mark Appel, and Taijuan Walker

My early look thoughts are Trout, Hosmer, Santana, Rizzo, Profar, and Longoria
I really like Cole at 25 and Lee at 8 but not sure if I can keep them over those bats.
Was thinking about targeting a Great value keeper. I was going to offer Longoria & Anibal for Giancarlo @ RD 15.

Well every winter I post my roster asking for your feedback, and I have to say again, this such a great resource for fantasy baseball.
Any of your points of view as always are appreciated. Happy Holidays & Winter Meetings & Fantasy Preperation.

You've got some really tough choices there my friend. I think ur on the right track. However I think you might need to keep cole, really special arm on that guy.

You need to make some trades to shorten this list. All of the guys not selected are keeper worthy & could potentially entice someone with a shorter list of potential options. I am not sold on Profar as a guy that is going to rack up the stats. I would use his name & round as trade bait along with 1-2 of these other guys. You could justify keeping Santana over Rizzo, but I like the kid a lot. The other five are definitely your top options.

Agree with keepers. Also agree you should be exploring trade options. Trout is the only untouchable player. Cole is very solid as well but if you were blown away with an offer, I would be willing to deal him. Just look to see what you can do because you have a lot of depth here.
