Elston Howard winning that one was repeated when Posey beat out Braun in 2012.

If it's obvious it's probably true.

No just another case where the writers had to show off their superior knowledge of the game to the rest of the peons. ;-)

from Rotoworld:
The BBWAA has announced Miguel Cabrera as the 2013 American League MVP.
He won in a landslide, finishing over 100 points ahead of runner-up Mike Trout. Cabrera received 23 of 30 first-place votes, with Trout getting five and Chris Davis and Josh Donaldson receive one apiece. The Tigers third baseman followed up his Triple Crown campaign by batting .348/.442/.636 with 44 homers and 137 RBI across 148 contests.

The BBWAA has announced Andrew McCutchen as the 2013 National League MVP.
The vote wasn't close as many were thinking, as McCutchen received 28 of 30 first-place votes and tallied 167 points ahead of runner-up Paul Goldschmid

Writers should write, not vote.
Miggy stole 2 MVPS now.
The best player, is the most valuable.
Such a easy concept really, yet many get confused.
