Crazy to Sit Tulo this week? WHIR!

Postby Bosny » Sun Sep 15, 2013 1:13 pm

Very frustrating player to own...but I knew that when I drafted him. Am I crazy to ride hot bat of J. Villar and bench Tulo this week? Both have 7 games and Villar has been on fire for a few weeks near top of HOU order. I had Prado in there last month or so, but he has cooled off quite a bit last week or two. Thanks! WHIR.

No way I bench Tulo. If you can predict which player will hiit in any given week, you should use your talents for stovk picking not for fantasy baseball. All one can do is put the best option on the field.

I feel your pain; I've owned Tulo for a few years in a dynasty league. I would stick with him unless you really need Villar's steals.

Villar for steals, Tulo for power. Depends what you need.

Prolly too late to add any comments as your roster is likely set, but at this stage of the season it comes down to needs, not overall value. Several teams have dumped closers and steals because they no longer need the categories because of huge leagues. In my money league, I have acquired several speed guys at the expense of some power, which is a lost cause for my team. I have gone from last (12th) to 6th in three weeks with 5th & possibly 4th in my sights. I'd give up the 2-3 points lost in power cats to make up 6-8 in steals.
