Which side of this blockbuster? WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 7:19 pm

Updating a previous topic of discussion about me landing Goldy. The owner is now asking for Kershaw and Posey for Goldy and Gallardo. Hefty price to pay IMO, but if all of you can look at my keeper situation, give me some feedback on if it's worth it in the long run. Also, keep in mind, I may be able to get Davis for Wainwright and Bruce and be able to keep Kershaw.

My team below has about 8 or so keeper possibilities (Posey, Wainwright, Kershaw, Pedroia, Miggy, Machado, McCutchen, Bruce)

10 teams Roto, 6 keepers, 5x5(OBP replaces AVG) -

(* denotes potential keepers)

my team:
C - Posey*
1B - AGon
2B - Pedroia*
SS - Desmond
3B - Miguel Cabrera*
OF- Bruce*
OF - Cutch*
OF - Gardner
Util - Cuddyer
Util - Machado*
B - J Castro
B - Fowler
B - Belt
B - De Aza

SP - Kershaw*, Sale, Wainwright*, A Sanchez, G. Gonzalez, Wheeler
CP - Balfour, R Soriano, Romo, Grilli

Giving way too much for Goldy IMO. But would do the the Davis(assuming it is Chris) deal better as your trading an aging SP and less reliable OF for a top 1B and keeping your ace.

your keepers:

C - Posey*
1B - Davis
3B - Miguel Cabrera*
OF - Cutch*
Util - Machado*
SP - Kershaw*

I would not make the trade for Goldschmidt. I think that is too much to trade for him.

I know you it is much safer to favor bats over arms when it comes to keepers but IMO the guy asking for Kershaw should be paying MORE than Goldy, not the other way around. Kershaw is so clearly the dominant #1 SP going that he just makes a better keep than ANY 1B.

I'd pass. Kershaw and Posey is too much. I know Posey's having a bit of a down year, but in a keeper, that's less important.
