Villar or Franklin in a keeper league WHIR

Postby Bogey316 » Tue Aug 20, 2013 11:43 pm

Which of the two do you think is better long term? I won't be keeping another shortstop and I'm thinking about keeping one of these guys. I can keep either for a 19th round pick(I currently own Villar). The offensive categories are HR, RBI, SB, OBP, SLG, R. Thanks!

EDIT: Forgot to mention it's a H2H league, if that matters.

Nick Franklin. He's a stud, and will be a stud with a better/more consistent higher batting average. Especially long term, give him a go. Villar, stolen bases can be found in free agency if really needed. Franklins apart of a project that will be on displace for the next couple of seasons at minimum. If seager, Franklin, miller, ackley, zunnino, and the best pitching prospects deliver. Houston is moving, but I don't think their pitching prospects and former first round picks will make as big of a impact fantasy/real baseball wise like the mariners should for the next few years. But to break down between villar/Franklin again.... I think like posted above Franklin is a good speed and power producer, and should hit for solid average, and will be a solid part of any roster for his ADP, value, production at second base. Which leads me to your post... "shortstop" Franklin will lose SS eligibility since he's a second baseman for the M's if that's something you need to look into

Tony is right on this one. Nick Franklin is Ian Kinsler Jr or poor man's Tulo (when he was getting SB)...I think you have to take Kinsler over Andrus or the like.
