Trade Puig in a keeper?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Tue Aug 20, 2013 8:46 am

13 team league, 23 players, 7-9 keepers depending on where you finish the year before, auction league with 5x5 roto style, 260 dollar cap

I have Puig at 11 dollars but possibly have a deal on the table where I would get McCutchen(34) and either Gio(23) or Shelby Miller(1) for him. Do I do this and who do I ask for Gio or Shelby?

I like McCutch/Miller just for the dollar value...bang for your buck. Sell high!

I actually thought about this for awhile. Originally I was going to say don't do it, but Miller being at $1 swayed me to say that you should make the trade.

Although Puig at $11 is a good value if he can keep it up.

The other guy says he won't do Shelby but will do McCutchen(34) and Gio(23) for Puig(11). Should I keep Puig or do the trade?

If you need SP then I would do it, but if SP is solid then I would pass

My Pitching is terrible:

Gallardo(24)
Hoover(1)
Vogelsong(2)
Gomez(1)
Mujica(1)
Zeigler(1)
McCarthy(14)
Watson(1)
Volquez(1)
McDonald(3)

Do I do it with this pitching staff and give up Puig?

I don't think you really have choice unfortunately, and to be honest McCuth isn't an all that bad replacement

I wouldn't do that trade with Gio at $23. That will be right about where he'd go for in next year's auction. You do need pitching bad but I don't move an $11 Puig for what you are getting. What other arms does he have, who else whould you have to chip in to get Cutch and Shelby or even better Cutch Shelby and Gio?
