8 person keeper - who to keep? Thanks!

Postby jhyphi » Mon Aug 19, 2013 8:19 pm

So I'm in a 12 team keeper league, 8 keepers.

Categories are:
R, HR, RBI, SB, OBP, SLG%
IP, K, QS, Saves, ERA, WHIP

Who should I keep?

C Rosario
1B LaRoche
2B Hill
SS Desmond
3B C. Johnson
OF Hamilton
OF Ruf
OF Pence
Util Hosmer
BN Grossman

P Beachy
SP Kershaw
SP Hamels
SP Bailey
SP Burnett
SP Corbin
SP Turner
SP Oberholtzer
RP Rivera
RP Feldman
BN Janssen
BN Betancourt
DL Cueto

------------

Right now I'm thinking,
Kershaw
Hamels
Bailey
Corbin
Turner

Hill
Desmond
Hamilton

Should I replace someone with Ruf, Hosmer, Beachy, Cueto, Rosario?

Thanks!

I like what you have picked out except I would keep Rosario over Hill since Hill is up and down and hurt all the time and I would replace Turner with Hosmer. I think Hosmer is just coming into his own and will just keep improving. He is silently putting together at 300, 15/15 season and at first base that aint bad.

please help

What about Ruf?

He's done really well on a per-game level both last season and this season. Though it is limited sample size.

Seems best to me, if your deadline hasn't past try to move Hamilton and some others for quality prospects to give you more options

Well, we're already in playoffs.

Additionally, there's been 0 trades all year, not the most active league. Haha. It's with a bunch of business school friends.

So I don't think trying to move Hamilton is gonna work. It's either keep him or release him.

You guys think it's better to keep Pence over Hamilton and Ruf and Beachy?

Think Hamilton is starting downhill slide and maybe Beachy over Pence but not Ruf. Up to you

What's wrong with Ruf, he seems to be developing.

What about Burnett?

I know he's like 37 years old. But he's been fantastic this year. Could he hold it up another year? And then I'd just select another keeper at end of next year like how I picked up Corbin this year?
