I play in a twelve team h2h keeper league, where we keep ten players from year to year. Scoring format is: R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG for batters and ERA, WHIP, K, W, SV, HLD for pitchers. Here is my roster:
C - Napoli 1B - Votto 2B - Kipnis 3B - Panda SS - Reyes LF - Trout CF - Ellsbury RF - Kipnis UTIL - Marte BN - Davis BN - Boegarts
SP - Hamels SP - Peavy SP - Wilson RP - Rivera RP - Mujica RP - Uehara P - Janssen P - Rosenthal P - Doolittle BN - Beachy BN - Ryu BN - Cingrani BN - Liriano BN - Wood
Clearly I'm heavy on speed, and need power. As for pitching, I'm so-so. Anyways, I'm trading Starling Marte and Tony Cingrani for Chris Davis. I think this is a clear win that helps my team. Personally, I was shocked when she agreed to the trade, given Chris Davis' performance this year. Anyone disagree with me?
i'm still skeptical on Davis long-term, and even to keep his pace for the balance of this season, but I still think this is a good deal for you. It helps to round out your roster, and you still have enough keeper options that I'd even suggest trying to deal Davis for other help in the off-seaon. Overall, I like it right now.
I think that, based on my roster, it helps. I'm skeptical about Cingrani long term anyways, and have too much speed if I'm keeping Trout, Ellsbury, Reyes, and Kipnis for Marte to really be a difference maker.
I'm not banking on Davis keeping up his performance or repeating next year. I think that 35-40 hr is reasonable for next year though, which easily makes him by biggest power threat.
