Trade Veto Rant

Postby afern401 » Fri Aug 16, 2013 10:34 am

A little background before I launch into it: I am in a 12 team h2h keeper league that is in its 1st season. In the wake of the Biogenesis suspensions, Braun and Cruz were cut from their teams. Because I'm not a complete idiot, I added them both when the cleared waivers. FA pickups cost $5 to keep so Braun and Cruz can be kept for $5 next year. My team is on the playoff bubble and I wanted to improve it. Another manager is well out of the playoffs and wanted to build his team for next season. We agreed to trade my Cruz ($5 keeper) for his Longoria. Both teams were happy, it helped me this season and him next season.

I wake up this morning to see that this trade has been vetoed. This is the only move that has been vetoed all year. Yes, nobody batted an eye at the Miggy for injured Kemp and Willingham deal. In my opinion this is clearly a case of sour grapes from the other managers. In my eyes, the trade is your text book keeper move. One team trying to win now, one team trying to win in the future.

Am I just being butthurt because my trade was shot down? Or do I have a legit gripe here?

I have always hated league votes on trades, this is why.
