quick help? WHIR... please!!!!

Postby ratking20 » Mon Aug 05, 2013 3:08 pm

5x5 roto auction keeper

im leading in all pitching cats except wins... i have a pretty stacked staff

im at the bottom of all hitting cats except stolen bases, and middle of pack in average

ok so ive been offered

goldschmidt......can keep next year for 17
jay bruce

dela rosa
lackey

........for my......

kershaw
mariano rivera
hosmer
leonys martin...... can keep next year for 8 but wouldnt anyway

i have 4 closers currently, was going to try and move one for a starter anyway, feel that 4 closers would keep me behind in wins and k's. we start 7 pitchers daily and can carry only 9

im also currently in 3rd/4th place. 4 teams make money

please help... deadline is coming up

Sure, make the deal. The price for Kershaw sounds right, and it improves your team.

Yes, I also do the deal. Goldy is a stud and a worthy keeper. Jay bruce may also be a keeper possibly. Position player keepers are almost always worth more than an equivalent SP as SPs are very unpredictable year to year (some just have down years, while in general, they are more likely to get hurt). Given team needs, going after teh offense at the cost of Kershaw makes sense.

Take the deal. Goldschmidt is the key here, of course. Plus, as you said you've got a closer surplus, I think this is a very savvy trade on your part. Kershaw is a beast but Goldie is the better keeper. But, I tend to prefer bats to arms. Personal preference.
