Final Trade help - Which Option - 100% WHIR

Postby Damo » Fri Aug 02, 2013 8:10 am

Have a guy willing to deal anything to make his final push for the playoffs...This is what I am thinking of offering:
Option A - Hamilton/Miller for his A Jones/Garza
Option B - Gardner/Headley/Miller for A Jones and Garza

I don't really (for some reason think Hamilton is going to heat up, but does losing Pujols hurt him?) want to part with Hamilton, but in reality I don't think he is going to go for option b (or a) unless I sweeten the deal somehow...

He also has Melancon and Papelbon, who I wouldn't mind snagging...

I'm in a 10 team, H2H points, non-keeper, and currently in 1st

My team:
C - Mauer
1B - Votto
2B - Utley
SS - Reyes
3B - Wright
1B/3B - Gonzalez
2B/SS - Pedroia
OF- Jennings
OF - Pence
OF - Gardner
OF - Hamilton
OF - Gomez
Util - Ortiz
B - Headley
SP - Kershaw, Verlander, Scherzer, Miller, Minor, Peavy
RP - Rodney, Janssen, Ciznek, Jansen, Johnson

100% WHIR

Both trades are great for you. Do trade B if you can somehow get away with it. However, I don't see this guy trading you A. Jones for a bunch of scrubs if he's making a playoff run.

I dont know if either of these offers get the deal done. Miller is on a innings limit and Hamilton is...well...Hamilton. Jones is an elite hitter and he would most likely would just keep him especially if he is in the playoff hunt.

Both trades make him worse, if he is in a playoff hunt he isn't going to accept either.

Help me?

I agree with other posters. If you can get him to accept either do it before he comes to his senses.

Don't think either helps him though
