Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Thu Jul 11, 2013 6:54 pm

Been offered Justin Upton and Desmond Jennings OR Hamels and Jennings for Stanton and Revere...Which side is the better deal for my team?

In a keeper league using OBP over AVG.

10 teams Roto, 6 keepers, 5x5(OBP replaces AVG)

my team:
C - Posey
1B - AGon
2B - Pedroia
SS - Desmond
3B - Miguel Cabrera
OF- Bruce
OF - Stanton
OF - A. Jones
Util - Cuddyer
Util - Machado
B - Fowler DL
B - Nick Franklin
B - Revere

SP - Kershaw, Sale, Wainwright, A Sanchez DL, G. Gonzalez, Leake, J Parker, J Turner
CP - Balfour, R Soriano, Romo, Grilli

Im leaning towards Hamels and Jennings. I think Hamels will bounce back in the second half of the season. He's been really unlucky in the Wins column. Moreover, if you acquire Upton and Jennings i cant really see u benching one of your current starters since they have all been really productive.

I would do it. Stanton's just one big question mark. As for who I would take, I might do the Hamels/Jennings side. I have no idea what's wrong with Justin Upton, but something is. You have the OF to make the move.

Minority here, but I'd pass. Stanton is the best keeper of this bunch, and Upton/Jennings would be a headache as to which semi-underachiever do you bench, and which would replace Stanton? And I'm not a believer in Hamels bouncing back in W column because chances are the Phils will be sellers, so it's not like his team will be BETTER.

Anyway, it's pretty close, and I could see why you'd do it, but my team? I wouldn't.

See mine? Thx. viewtopic.php?t=463259

I would stand pat. Stanton is still the best player out there, although he's on a terrible team right now. If and when he gets traded he could be a monster. If you are dead set on making the deal- I'd go with Justin Upton. He still is very young and could improve as a 5 tool outfielder. Pitching should be abundant in a 10 team league so no need to get Hamels. Please help with mine.
