Trading for Cano?

Postby Trooper » Sun Jul 07, 2013 12:15 am

So another manager in my league is willing to deal Cano.

I have two potential deals... The other guy's Cano for my Darvish, or his Cano for my Jackson and Price. The first one is fairer, but I'm questioning whether to give up the cornerstone of my staff who I feel I can really rely on (I think Price and Hamels will be their normal selves in the 2nd half, but I can't be certain, and I rate Darvish as a top 3 SP), and the 2nd one I'm questioning if I'm overpaying. I've been consistently losing HR and RBI so I'm trying to improve there and Cano would help a lot at MI for me. You think I'm overthinking this? I've received conflicting opinions on this so I'm trying to decide what to do here.

It's a 12 team yahoo redraft league, I'm in 4th place and he's in 3rd, both very much in the playoff hunt. H2H 5x5 with OBP and QS instead of AVG and W, and SV+H instead of SV. My team: If there are any details I left out, let me know.

Thanks! Happy to help in return if you'd like.

I'd trade any SP for Cano straight up. SP is so much easier to find then a 2B as strong and consistent as Cano.

I like the 2nd option depending on what is on your WW. Granderson should be back in a couple weeks (maybe 2) which will also help with your HR, and RBI issue. I like Darvish and also agree that he has top 3 potential. Braun should be back this week.

I think you win both trades. I would do the second one though because you have the OF depth and would rather lose Price than Darvish.
