Myers, Ev Cabrera and Street for JUpton and Grilli...[AWHIR]

Postby TruYankeeFan » Sat Jul 06, 2013 8:57 am

What do you think?

I am in first...but my lead is diminishing...I need RBI and SVs badly. Also need to drop a player if I cannot pull of trade now that Cabrera is off DL

EDIT: Alternate trade thought...Myers/Cabrera/Street for Tulo/Romo. Too much of a reach?

10 team h2h, 5x5 catgegory keeper (we were able to keep up to 10 players this year from last years roster...will probably be the same for next year) league w/ with weekly scoring, daily roster changes, Max 6 waiver moves a week, Min 7 Innings Pitched. Scoring is slightly different than standard leagues...see below.

Scoring catagories:
Offense: Runs (R), Runs Batted In (RBI), Total Bases (TB), On-base Percentage (OBP), Net Stolen Bases (NSB)
Pitching: Innings Pitched (IP), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP).

I am in first in my league with a 6 game lead over #2. Looking to make moves for the Championship.

My Roster
C-Molina
1B-Prince
2B-E Cabrera
SS-Segura
3B-Longo
OF-CarGo
OF-McLouth
OF-Cespedes
UT-Utley
BN-Wil Myers, T Frazier, Seager, Harper

SP-Kershaw, Zimmermann, Kuroda, Medlen, Corbin, S Miller, Teheran, T Wood, Pineda (DL)

RP -Chapman, Hederson, Street

Leave a link and I will hit you back! ;-D

That is a great trade for you if you need RBIs and Saves.

It is ok. The problem is that Upton isn't doing much at all right now and you lose a huge amount of steals by doing this deal. Grilli has been great so far but a steap price for saves which are unpredictable especially over a half season.

I think I would pass and look to get a cheaper closer that might net you similar number of saves. Someone like Holland or Mujica. Then look for a bat that will get you those RBI like Freeman. Or try and buy low on Braun.

Seems like a team at the bottom of the league would be willing to deal especially if it involves Myers and Cabrera.

What about a buy low on Tulo? Myers/Cabrerra/street for Tulo/Romo?

I like that deal more but you do add Tulo's injury history to the mix. But2 he is healthy he is one of the best in baseball and a better get than Upton.
