Gordon could be back within three weeks or so. No word yet on his role. Any real decision by the Cubs will only be made after seeing how Gordon looks when he's back on a mound. Right now, this could go either way.

TSN said Flash Gordon will return mid-June in a setup role. I'm sure that if Flash is completley dominating like he can be, the closer role will be his again. Alfonseca is a great closer, but he's not great enough that he can't be replaced.

Still, even if Flash dominates again, it will take over a month before he'll be back in the closer's role and Alfonseca would likely still get some save chances to rest Flash's old bones...
