Ugh...I tried to get this type of thread going so many times and it ended up just me talking to myself most of the time, with H0rt chipping it some.
There's a ton of misconceptions about sports betting to me, one being that "taking (big favorites) will cause you to go broke automatically". Simply not true. It's about value to me, and if I think a line should be -280 and it's only -200, I'm going to take the 80 cents of value each and every time. From betting other sports like tennis and soccer you see this much more frequently than baseball, but just because it's big, doesn't mean you always have to stay away.
