Strasburg trade?

Postby Brainstorm » Tue Jul 02, 2013 12:24 pm

12-team, 5x5 Roto Keeper, $260 cap, keepers go up 5 bucks per season. 1250 IP limit. Would you trade Strasburg ($14) for Fielder ($21)? I'm near the top in every pitching category, only 5 points in HR, 6 in Runs, but 10 in RBI. Also in first place right now, up a point. I prefer to move Lee or Minor to get help at 1B or 3B, but the market isn't there...

C- Yadier Molina $18
1B- Billy Butler $10
2B- Robinson Cano $17
3B- Matt Dominguez $3
SS- Erick Aybar $5
OF- Jason Heyward $14
OF- Shane Victorino $7
OF- Matt Kemp $18
Util- Yoenis Cespedes $14
Ryan Howard $5
Coco Crisp $3
Mike Moustakas $10
Michael Morse $8
Troy Tulowitzki $23

Stephen Strasburg $14
Cliff Lee $20
Max Scherzer $14
Zack Greinke $16
Mike Minor $10

Joe Nathan $18
Kenley Jansen $2
Vinnie Pestano $8
Kevin Gregg $3
Yoervis Medina $3

Cory Luebke $1

WHIR, thanks

Thanks for the help with mine,

Id do this trade IMO a superstar hitter is more valuable then a superstar pitcher. You already have a very solid SP core without Stras.

I would then maybe trade victoriano for a decent SP so you can keep butler, cespedes and prince in the lineup.

I concur...try to trade an OF so you can still start Butler if/when he heats up.

Well put. I love Fielder and you can replace pitching more easily with matchups...especially when you have amazing pitchers like your group.

Kemp and Dominguez for a solid SP and 3b upgrade (go for a Latos/Donaldson) type of deal.

To update, I'm close to pulling the trigger on this deal but wanted to kinda back fill my 5th spot and look to fix my 3B issue at the same time.

I could move Kemp for Encarnacion ($15) and Lackey ($3). Thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks for the help on mine. I would pull the trigger on both deals. Fielder can play 1B, Encarnacion will play 3B, Butler can move to UTIL because Cespedes moves to OF. SPs still look solid. Overall, I say it helps your team a lot.

I like the initial deal and the idea of getting Lackey on the back end in the kemp deal. Thank you on mine.
