Should I trade for power or pitching? WHIR 100%

Postby footballisbetter.com » Mon Jun 24, 2013 4:10 pm

At first I was looking to acquire good starting pitching, but I think my staff is pretty solid. Should I instead be focusing on getting more power?

For instance, I was just offered Mat Latos for my Moreland and C Janssen. (which I would like)

But I don't know if I can afford to lose the power from Moreland, since i am weak there to begin with.

you have to do that I mean Jansen/Mujica/Frieri - money for a trio of top shelf closers.
Any cheap power in FA?

not too much..

Should I try to get him to take someone other then Moreland, although he doesn't need any MI's.
Or I could ask for 1 of Mark Reynolds, Willingham or Joyce back also?

Make the trade. Latos is a borderline ace and you don't have to give up too much. You have plenty of RP depth and Moreland is expendable. Add Morse, put him on DL, and pick up Moss.

Absolutely get Latos. Solidifies your rotation. You can never have too many great pitchers.

Like the post before me said, you can get some power off FA.

I agree, get Latos. Your power doesn't look that weak to me, but you can address that at another time if you need to. That deal is too good to pass up.

I agree 100%.....Latos is awesome so don't pass on that for a small bit (and already been banged up Moreland) and a RP when you have 3 other solid RP's.

Make the trade and definitely grab B.Moss (whom I like better than Moreland IMO and has "Power" written all over him and is hot right now)....read another post after making my decision and I agree...if you have an open DL spot why not grab Morse and put him there for now and grab Moss....talk about a win, Win, WIN situation!!! Congrats and good luck m8!

I think this is a great deal for you. I do kind of see a lack of power, but Moreland won't be a huge loss. I think he's easily replaceable. This trade is too good to pass up and you aren't losing too much for a solid starter. Thanks for help on mine.
